On March 23rd, All City Elementary presented the musical, “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” After many months of practice and preparation, both the morning and evening shows were a huge success. The kids worked extremely hard to memorize lines, songs, and actions!
Kindergarten through third grade dressed in full costume as characters within the musical and sang all of the songs. The kindergarteners were teacups, first graders were enchanted roses, second graders were clocks, and the third graders were candelabras. Nice job, kids!
All 4th and 5th graders had a part in the musical whether it was a lead role, villagers, narrators, castle staff, and set helpers. Those students practiced extra hard on Wednesday afternoons with the directors and producers to memorize lines and put everything into action. Thanks for working so hard! It was amazing!
This production is not possible without the guidance and support of staff and parents. A big shout out to our director, Jake DeGroot, music director, Emily Anderson, and our musical producers, Audra Newell. Thank you to all of the classroom teachers for practicing songs and using Family time for extra practices. Other parents played big roles by taking the lead on different parts of production. Thank you, Kelley Lund, who took the lead on makeup and costumes. Thanks to Heidi Terveen for taking the lead on the sets and backstage. Thanks to Shalaine Rostomily for organizing the playbill and Mary Pat Norgaard, Linda Friez, and Emily Anderson who helped with choreography. There were MANY other parents who helped with makeup, costumes, backstage, tech production, and sets! THANK YOU to all who helped in any way big or small! You are appreciated so much! This would not be possible without all of you!
We are so proud of our students for their effort and time! Way to go! Thanks also to Our Savior Lutheran for allowing us to use their facility for our musical. Thanks for all who attended as our “guests” for both shows! We appreciate your support! Enjoy all of the pics from the show, behind the scenes, and practice!
