January 27th marked the date of our last Kids Care for our ACE third, fourth, and fifth graders! Students were put into 8 groups to go out into the community to volunteer at local organizations. Students helped clean shelves at the downtown library, prepared food at St. Francis House, made tie blankets for those in need, sang songs with kids at LifeScape, played Valentine’s Bingo at DakotAbilities, cleaned toys at the Ronald McDonald House and a local daycare, and prepared the room for food service at The Banquet! We are so thankful for Kristen Benidt who organizes this every month and to our parent volunteers who drive and help! We couldn’t do these service projects without you!
